Serenity Escape: A Joshua Tree Hideout

Joshua Tree is the perfect desert escape for people seeking adventure, relaxation and healing. J-Tree is known for boulders and buttresses, rugged mountains, gold mining ruins and desert plains dotted with mystical trees. The National Park has an allure all its own — one that attracts people from all walks of life from all over the world.

Chance and I got married in nearby Palm Springs and have since been camping in Joshua Tree a handful of times. It is one of the areas we’ve explored that is filled with magical energy. You can literally feel the good vibes when you roll in.

Last weekend, we were lucky enough to be hosted by Serenity Escape. It was the perfect way to wrap up our latest road trip. If you’re not camping, we believe the best way to experience J-Tree is by renting your own space. It allows you experience your destination to the fullest and with a little privacy.

Serenity Escape was the perfect hideout for our visit. Close enough to all the adventure but hidden enough to feel like a secret oasis. The two bedroom two bath house itself is very modern. We gushed over the design of the property — the perfect mixture of MCM and boho. Check-in was very timely and we were greeted with a bottle of Pinot Grigio + chocolates.

Each desert chic master room came with its own bathroom and was fully stocked with towels, soap, bathrobes, a blow dryer and beach towels. I even saw yoga mats in the closets! I felt like you literally had everything you could ever need. And that goes for the fully stocked kitchen too. Chance and I had a blast cooking dinner on the high-end stainless steel appliances. The house also had a record player with an indoor/outdoor stereo system + high-speed WiFi.

Perhaps the highlight of the space is the outdoor area. In the backyard, you’ll find plenty of spots to lounge + a bbq, firepit and hot tub. We had so much fun stargazing from the hot tub amongst the Joshua Trees and perfectly placed string lights. Very romantic and certainly peaceful. I was not shocked to find out that the space is available for parties and weddings — it’s the perfect spot for an event.
