EverFit is a new fitness studio located in Shawnee, just off I-435 and Midland. EverFit is a class-based studio. They offer a variety of classes each day, including boxing, cycling, yoga, zumba, pound, barre, strength training and HIIT. The studio is super modern and has top of the line fitness equipment. They offer several classes from 5:30am – 7:30pm. They also have a kids play area for all you mommies out there.
I took a break from Class Pass and tried some EverFit classes in June. Here’s the down low.
- Cycle Circuit: Indoor cycling for beginners or advanced riders. This ride is a total body workout with cycling + circuit exercises off the bike. Expect training drills that will help with strength, agility and balance. During class we cycled for 10-15 minute intervals and then hopped off the bike and did hand weight exercises in between.
- Boxing: EverFit has gloves for you (I only had to bring wraps) – huge plus! I loved it so much, I ended up boxing twice. Once with Anthony and once with Gretta. Gretta’s class was more cardio based. We warmed up and then did tabata type boxing. My class with Anthony ended up being 1:1 so we focused mostly on skill and technique. I’m a boxing newbie so this was awesome! He put on punch mitts and I gave it 💯. Anthony is ranked #2 in MMA for his weight class in Kansas City by “kcmma.com”.
- Sunday Funday: This is super unique to EverFit and they do it about once a month. We started Sunday Funday with a workout. We cycled for 30 and finished with 30 minutes of boxing. After the workout I enjoyed social hour, which consisted of wine, healthy eats and a chair massage. I also won two tickets to Schlitterbahn!
- Mini EverFit Tri (20/20/20): This is the one hour version of their full 90 minute EverFit Tri. 20 minutes of boxing, 20 minutes of cycle and 20 minutes of weights and core. This class takes over the entire gym and is really fun.
If you’re someone who doesn’t like to fight for a spot in class then this place is for you. I never had trouble finding a class that worked with my schedule and I didn’t have to show up 15 minutes ahead of time to save my spot. EverFit is a hidden gem for those looking for a variety of classes to hit their fitness goals and get into shape. Their new client special is $25 for three classes. I highly recommend classes with Lynne Eskina. She’s been featured in Kansas City Fitness Magazine twice! She will have you sweating and smiling.
