Core Energy Yoga is a boutique fitness studio that I’ve been meaning to mention for some time now. I’ve been practicing yoga there for almost a year and it is in my regular Class Pass rotation.
Core Energy Yoga is Overland Park’s first hot yoga studio offering Power Vinyasa Yoga in the tradition of Baron Baptiste. Hot Yoga at Core Energy is practiced in an infrared heated room with controlled humidity and heat panels which allows for a safe, comfortable and therapeutic experience. Room temp is set at 95 degrees.
Admittedly I have not been to Core Power in Kansas City (I’ve only been to their Westlake, CA location) or Power Life but Core Energy is for sure the best ‘out south’ option I’ve tried thus far. Of course classes are for all levels and there is always modification but I like that Core Energy is dedicated to advancing your practice. You will always learn something new or get a different perspective on technique.
The yoga studio offers an average of 6 classes a day. Because of my 9-5 work schedule I usually go to Amy Morrison or Mariana Eastham. Amy also sells her activewear line in the studio. Namastamy is a lifestyle brand designed for the modern yogi who is … smart, playful & strong!
