Winter is freaking frigid and a lot of people decide to hibernate. I don’t blame them. If you’re staying indoors you might as well cozy up with these 6 items that promote healthy living + positive lifestyle.
Simple Science Juices: Treat yo self to cold-pressed juice using only the freshest and 100% chemical free fruits and vegetables available. This hydraulic cold-pressed method of juice extraction provides a minimum mixing of air with the juices, which results in a very low oxidation or decomposition. The tremendous pressure exerted by their juice press gently and completely extracts the natural fruit sugars, vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes and other vital elements. This method of juicing also allows juice to be bottled (without preservatives) and still maintain a 5 day shelf life. My personal favorites are Compound and Hydro. They also have Kombucha on tap, which I am OBSESSED with. You can sample all the flavors before you buy. Two thumbs up!
Namastamy Apparel: A modern yogi t-shirt line dedicated to fashion forward fits and luxury fabrics + founded in Kansas City. Right now I am loving the Warrior 2 baseball t and the new epic tank is a must-have.
Big Magic: A book about creative living, “Big Magic” wants to help its readers live a life that is driven more strongly by curiosity than fear. This book is separated into six sections: Courage, Enchantment, Permission, Persistence, Trust and Divinity. Elizabeth Gilbert believes that creativity is inside all of us, it should be expressed and it is not selfish or crazy or foolish to do so – it is, in fact, the best way to live a satisfying life. Amen to that!
Adult Coloring Book: Coloring books are no longer for the kiddos. This was the big holiday gift of 2015. There are so many adult coloring books to choose from these days. You can find them on Amazon or even at Urban Outfitters. I’ve even found them before at Home Goods. According to the American Art Therapy Association, art therapy is a mental health profession in which the process of making, coloring and creating artwork is used to “explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem.”
Frolic + Sage Candle: Picture this, you’re cozy in your Namastamy baseball t on the couch reading “Big Magic” with a Tony Moly mask on while drinking your juice. The only thing missing is an amazing smelling candle to set the vibe. Look no further. You can find Frolic + Sage on Etsy. Thank me later.
Tony Moly #ImReal Face Sheets: This South Korean based cosmetic brand offers premium skincare products with an eco-friendly focus on natural + organic ingredients and no animal testing. The I’m Real sheet masks are formulated to hydrate, brighten, tighten and clear up troubled skin. You simply lay the sheet on your skin for 15-20 minutes and let the magic happen! I have dry skin and the Avocado Mask works wonders.
