My first charity workout event in February was a hit. It wasn’t so scary after all. The event sold out in a few hours and we ended up raising over $800 for the kiddos. I spent my first year blogging and networking with studio/gym owners and fitness minded people. My 2016 goal is to use those new relationships to host fitness events and give back to the community.
The Victory Project is really a no-brainer as my current charity partner. My fiancé plays for Sporting KC and does monthly visits at Children’s Mercy so this is an organization that we have ties to and are passionate about. The foundation is community-driven and aims to meaningfully and tangibly impact children with cancer and other life’s challenges in the Kansas City region.
I’m excited to announce that my next event will be a charity ride with MOJO cycling studio on Saturday, May 14 at noon. Per usual space is limited but the event is free (we just ask that you donate). All attendees will get to participate in the “glow” ride lead by Amanda Rismiller and enjoy juice + snacks post workout from Simple Science Juices. Anyone who donates will have a chance to win some of our awesome door/raffle prizes from Athleta, Lake Candles, Kendra Scott, Sporting KC and more.
To RSVP and save your spot, please email Wtfartlek@gmail.com. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your spot is reserved.
Space is extremely limited!
