Yoga on the Pitch at Children’s Mercy Park was a magical evening filled with sunset yoga + community. The weather ended up being perfect – breezy and shaded!
Guests arrived around 6pm with yoga starting at 7pm. Wendy Zoog & Brad Elpers led the group through a mixture of postures and exercises while Jobea Kids lead the kiddos.
For a Wednesday night, the crowd was energized and feeling the beats of DJ Ashton Martin. It was truly one epic flow – we even did the wave!
We ended with traditional savasana and once the sweaty part was over the crowd enjoyed time to snap group photos and chill with Sporting KC players. Lululemon Leawood also had some great giveaways the crowd crushed over.
Attendees had the opportunity for autographs and complimentary treats from Simple Science + The Roasterie. Per usual the juice was absolutely delish.
I have to say, I quite enjoyed watching Chance do yoga. He and Connor Hallisey were giggling. Yoga is no walk in the park 😜. It’s not always about being bendy and stretchy as many assume. It is a different kind of strength, which is what makes it so beautiful.
All in all, I’d say this was a great event. The turnout was awesome, the vibe was great and I am so happy to be apart of it all. Aren’t these Namastamy commemorative tanks the Sh*t? They turned out amazing and so many people wore them during the event. Love that!
