I have to admit, I landed here because of Groupon. Nope, I didn’t even use LivingSocial like a classy lady. This was my first pilates experience with a chair and reformer. The staff is super patient and helpful. T school is unique because it offers a wide range of classes + personal training for all fitness levels.
- Cardio Kettlebells
- This was my fave because I am a cardio junkie. Be prepared to swing around kettlebells for a full 30 minutes. In my opinion, this is the most hardcore class they offer cardio wise.
- Reformer ON RAMP
- This class is for reformer beginners, which was a good thing because it was my first experience. I was a little disappointed that this class was only 29 minutes. I did love it but I needed more. A reformer looks like a bed with a flat platform on it. See photo here. Reformer workouts are good because they can improve strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.
- Barre
- I am going to be totally honest with you. I suck at barre classes, which is weird because I spent most of my early childhood at dance class and being a competitive gymnast. Infused with elements of ballet this class was graceful and focused a lot on legs and glutes. I’d recommend wearing Nike Studio Wraps for support and grip. Barre here is less intense than say Barre at Fusion.
- Ball Flow
- This is a great 50 minute class for your core. There are several other full body exercises incorporated as well. I have a stability ball obsession so I am a little biased. Ball exercises are great because they help improve core stability, muscle balance and posture. This low impact workout also helps flexibility. Like barre this class was graceful.
Overall, I would say this is a great place to start for people wanting to dabble in pilates. Classes are super small, filled mostly with women and I never had to get on a wait list.
